Old Corrugated Cardboard (OCC) is one of the primary items we recycle here at Greenway. This is a readily recycled material and much of the production is done here in the Metro area. Our sorting line produces from 50,000 to 70,000 pounds per month, all of it non-source separated, plucked from the midst of dumpsters full of dry waste. Without our intervention, almost all of that would go to the landfill. We use local haulers to take our material to one of 3 processors within the Metro area, where the material is often turned into new corrugated cardboard for use right here. Keep it Local.
